At first, the husbands thought they were in charge because they had more money than their wives. But with the bank account, now the women have started saving and they have their own money. They say to their their husbands, “now we have money!”
I used to keep my money at home, but I was afraid I would be robbed. Now I have all my money in the bank and I feel much safer. When my husband gets paid, I put all the money in the bank, otherwise he might spend it having fun with his friends.
My husband wanted to put our money in a cooperative because that way we could earn more money. But we learned in the training that the cooperatives aren’t regulated, so I told him no. We were very lucky, because the cooperative went broke and everyone lost their money, but not us because we had our savings safe in a bank account.
